Out On A Limb - QB Joe Flacco


Flacco is considered by many to be one of the top QB’s in the 2008 draft class and Baltimore is hoping that he is their QB of the future. I am going to tell you why I just don’t think he will be productive at this level.



While he has a very strong arm and a quick delivery, it is not his arm that worries me, but his feet and his experience.

I watched him on the ESPN Skills challenges.  The commentators said the samething about him.....but then he displayed the fastest times with his feet.

He may SUPRISE!!!!

I have to admit, I heard all of this stuff at the draft, but right now, most are on his bad wagon.


I think these are valid points, especially the lower skill level of the competition.  I don't think that means that he will never be able to play, but I do think it means he will need time to adjust.

He'll sit behind Troy Smith to start with, who had a very positive experience at the end of last season.

I am happy to see all this "glamor" stuff about Flacco-- while I select FA Troy Smith in Redraft AND

Dynasty.
