English Premier League

With Peter Crouch showing himself to be an average at best striker, with his best abilities seeming to be redirecting finely paced balls into the box, how long can Liverpool survive without the scoring talents of Fernando Torres? And with Liverpool's struggles without Torres, has he shown himself to be possibly the player of the year in 2007-8 in the EPL?

Liverpool cannot ever hope to seriously challenge in the EPL while Peter Crouch remains a component of your attack.
This message has been brought to you by one of Australia's leading Aston Villa supporters who doesn't bear a grudge that Crouch couldn't score with a drunken sheep while playing at Villa Park, let alone put one in the onion bag.....

As for the subject of this thread, Mike Jones may rate Fernando Torres highly but as a completely biased Aussie, what about the midfield scoring wizard that is Everton's little Timmy Cahill. Fucking brilliant!

You're right, what do I know. I guess Torres' hattrick against Middlesborough was just a fluke, though it did move Liverpool past Everton into the 4th slot.

I admitted a complete bias due to my nationality towards Cahill. I don't think at any point I said Torres couldn't play.

Haha, well said. But hey, last World Cup we showed we are on the rise while you lot showed that once again you overrated yourselves!
Football, tennis, cricket. Seems as if every major sport you Poms invent you immediately become a laughing stock at when competing.
Just hanging shit RH.
