Fantasy Discussion / Who Should I Start? / Re: Roster help please

OK, here's my opinion, for what it's worth:
RBs: NEVER sit LT unless he's hurt. He's too much of sa stud to leave on the bench. Assuming that the .5 ppr extends to RBs as well as WRs, you definitely want to start Slaton, and I'd flex MJD as well. That leaves you two WR spots to fill.
WRs: I'm going to disagree with my esteemed colleague about Colston. This will be his first game back oof the injury, which was a thumb problem. I have him on my roster, and I'm not starting him this week. I want to make sure that he doesn't get one catch and re-injure it, or that the Saints don't start him off real slow. Reggie Bush is the #1 WR on that team, even though he's listed as a RB. Lance Moore has looked good recently, and they also have Devery Henderson. Brees' passing game has been rolling along just fine without Colston; my guess is that if he plays Sunday, he'll see limited action until they see how he responds. I know he's been OK in practice, but that's a lot different from live contact.
So...you need two of the remainder. Even with Palmer out, I still go with Housh. Fitzpatrick started week 4 for the Bengals, and Housh still had half a dozen catches for 50 yds. He's got 31 receptions thus far, which is by far the highest on your team. Plus the Jets are 31st in pass defense, so it's a good matchup. For my second guy, I'd probably go with either Driver or Cotchery. Berrian hasn't shown all that much yet, and Frerotte is not likely to pass a lot. Driver has a matchup against a Seahawks defense that ranks 25th overall, so that's pretty favorable. He should probably have half a dozen catches anyway. Cotchery might be a little more likely to see the end zone, but Favre spreads the ball around a lot.

Well, I don't know that I'd say you're crazy, but if it were me, I'd flex LT and sit Berrian. Rivers is going to have a very bad day passing this week; Chambers is a game time decison last I heard, and Vincent Jackson is going to play, but is playing hurt. Berrian just does not impress me a hell of a lot, and for that matter, neither does Frerotte.

J.T's starting to remind me a little bit of what I used to say a lot about David Carr:
"You can't throw a good pass If you're flat on your ass."
He's been getting sacked an awful lot; going for Garrard is not a bad move.

All the Browns would say is that they are not going to discuss the nature of the disease and that there are privacy issues involved. Steeler's rumor may be right.I could make a really crude comment here, but I'll pass and let you all use your imaginations.

I would be surprised if the other guy took the offer.
Me too...but desperation makes people do strange things. Let's also not forget that Fargas was a 1,000 yd rusher last year, and Jokeland damn sure can't throw the ball, so this might not be as uneven as it looks, with Colston coming off a thumb injury.

Cassel is who I decided to go with. He's facing the worst pass defnse in the league; he finally figured out who Randy Moss is last week, and also threw for more than 250 yds in that game. Plus I have Wes Welker, so that's a bonus for me as well. In fact, I went so far as to make him my stud pick of the week.

Yeah, that's all true...and Anderson has royally sucked at QB this year. I always kinda suspected he was a guy who turned one good season into a big payday, and this is proving me out.Plus they signed Stallworth to give them some depth at receiveer this year, and he hasn't played yet. I know how brutal the Browns' schedule is. I'm a Steelers fan, and if anything, ours is worse. I'm watching colston as well, I could REALLY use him back in my lineup right now.

If he doesn't play, he could well be worse than Edwards against the Giants. At least there's a chance that Edwards could get something for you as opposed to nothing for a player that's not in the game. But if you want to take a chance, Edwards is clearly the guy to drop...the others are all doing far better. Edwards doesn't even have 100 receiving yards yet.

Do NOT go for McMichael! He's out for the season with a broken leg and ligament damamge. Yo didn't mention which Miller it is Heath, Zach, or Billy. The first one is on bye this week, so he won't do you any good. Royal is also on a bye. I don't see any real standouts there; I'd probably stick with Carlson.

I'm a little confused...are you planning on actually STARTING Colston this week? You might want to hold off on that and see how he actually does in practice...there's no certainty that he'll be active this week. Also, don't forget that the4 injury was a thumb, and if he re-injures it again, he could be done for the year. The league I'm in allows us to keep two guys on an injured list. Colston is on mine, and I'm not bringing him back this week, even if he's cleared to play. I want to see him get in some action first.
Now, back to your question: based on the way he's playing thus far, Edwards is the guy to drop. He's got less than 100 yds receiving this year, their QB sucks, and they're facing the Giants this weekend.

OK, here's the question then...you have both Cassel and Garrard as starts, but of the two, which would you rather play? I'm probably going to be picking up one of these guys as a one-week replacement. I also have Welker on my roster. Oh, and I feel REAL good about my RB situation after reading this, since my two starters are Earnest Graham and Edge
