Rumors are circulating that the Oakland Raiders would be willing to send wide receiver Randy Moss to the Green Bay Packers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This was brought to fruition by ProFootballTalk.com as the Raiders are looking for a first rounder for Moss and Rodgers was the first round selection by Green Bay in the 2005 season. The likelihood of this being a straight trade is doubtful, but not out of the realm of reality. |

The Detroit Lions have re-signed linebacker Alex Lewis to a three-year contract according to the Battle Creek Enquirer. He started for the Lions as the strong-side linebacker before going down with a leg injury in Week 2 of last season. He returned after five games and finished the season with 43 tackles as a regular in the Lion's linebacker rotation. |

Baltimore Ravens' free agent linebacker Adalius Thomas is reportedly expected to sign with the San Francisco 49ers shortly after the beginning of free agency. It is believed that he will receive a signing bonus between $12-$15 million. |

According to the Providence Journal, New England Patriots' wide receiver Troy Brown told a Maine radio station that he has not yet made up his mind whether or not he will retire after 14 seasons in the NFL. Brown is an unrestricted free agent. |

Adam Schefter of NFL Network is reporting that the Buffalo Bills are putting linebacker Takeo Spikes on the trading block. The Bills had acquired Spikes as a free agent in 2003 from the Cincinnati Bengals. He had torn his Achilles during the 2005 season and saw limited action in 2006 having recorded 70 tackles for the year. |

Linebacker Dan Morgan, defensive end Mike Rucker, and quarterback Jake Delhomme agreed to restructured contracts on Thursday, allowing the team to save money on the salary cap this year, which means that none of the three will be cut for salary cap reasons. The same was not true of special teams veteran Karl Hankton, who the team released. |

According to NFL.com, the Buffalo Bills on Thursday released veteran guard Chris Villarrial and safety Matt Bowen.
Bowen was largely ineffective after signing with the Bills as a free agent last year. He was hampered much of the year with a broken bone in his leg, and appeared in only five contests all season. Villarrial has struggled with injury the last few seasons, and his release was not a surprise. |

The Baltimore Ravens have tendered three restricted free agents to one-year, $850,000 tenders according the Baltimore Sun. The players that received tenders are return specialist B.J. Sams, and wide receivers Clarence Moore and Devard Darling. The team will have the right to match any offer to these players and would receive a third round pick for Darling and a sixth round pick for Moore, if they were to leave the team. |

The New York Giants re-signed center Shaun O'Hara to a five-year, $19 million contract extension according to ESPN.com. He is guaranteed $7.5 million of the contract and keeps him with the Giants thru the 2011 season. |

The Dallas Cowboys have released tight end Ryan Hannam and guard E.J. Whitley according to ESPN.com. Hannam was an unrestricted free agent that was signed from Seattle last year and played in two games before heading to injured reserve on October 11. Whitley was drafted in the seventh-round last year, but also headed to injured reserve with a torn ACL in his left knee during minicamp. |

The Dallas Cowboys in an expected move have released quarterback Drew Bledsoe as reported by ESPN.com. Bledsoe was benched during the 2006 season by then head coach Bill Parcells in favor of young quarterback Tony Romo. Drew was due a $1 million roster bonus on March 2 and $4.5 million for the 2007 season. |

The New Orleans Saints have released four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Joe Horn according to NFL.com. Horn had requested to be let go by the team after he was asked to take a pay cut. He had agreed to a six-year, $42 million contract extension in May 2005. The deal would have paid him $4.45 million for 2007 and given him a $1 million roster bonus later this month. He missed the final four games of the 2006 regular season and both playoff games because of a groin injury. |

The Seattle Seahawks announced Wednesday that they had tendered contracts to six of their free agents, retaining the right to match any offer from another club or receiving specific compensation should they opt not to re-sign the player.
The Seahawks will receive a first round draft choice in exchange for starting right tackle Sean Locklear; second round picks for wide receiver D.J. Hackett and defensive back Jordan Babineaux; a fourth round draft choice for linebacker Niko Koutouvides, and a sixth round pick for defensive tackle Craig Terrill. Running back Leonard Weaver was tendered an offer too, but he cannot sign with another team because he has only two years experience and the Seahawks retain exclusive rights.

The Minnesota Vikings have parted ways with veteran tight end Jermaine Wiggins according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Wiggins has been a Viking for three seasons while leading them in receptions during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He was only able to obtain 46 receptions last season. Wiggins realized that the Vikings were going in a different direction and he was not to be a major contributor. |
