Word is getting around that the Minnesota Vikings may be looking to take safety LaRon Landry out of Louisiana State with their No. 7 pick. However, this scenario would only come to play if defensive end Gaines Adams is gone by that time, which is safe to assume. His addition could quell the lose of an aging Darren Sharper, who turns 32 this year. |

The Miami Dolphins are going to be looking to replace wide receiver Wes Welker, as it is likely they will not attempt to match the huge contract the New England Patriots are dangling in from of him. As a result, free agent wide receiver Kelley Washington is on his way to Miami to sign a contract as early as today, based on reports from the Palm Beach Post. Washington has been in a logjam in Cincinnati behind wide receivers Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Chris Henry. He has posted 19 receptions and two scores over the last two seasons due to this issue. |

After the Houston Texans signed ex-Green Bay running back Ahman Green, the Packers have now diverted their attention to obtaining the running back to fill the void. It is believed that running back Travis Henry is most suited for what the Packers are looking to do on offense, but he is being heavily pursued by the Denver Broncos. The Packers have $21 million in salary-cap space to play with if they decide to reel in Henry. |

Denver's newly acquired cornerback, Dre Bly, is unhappy about being sent to the Mile High city. Several individuals close to the situation and Bly have stated that he wanted to be sent to the Washington Redskins. The Redskins were reportedly willing to offer Bly a new contract, as the Broncos were not willing to work out a new deal with him having one-year left worth $4.2 million. Bly is from Chesapeake, VA and wanted the new contract from the Redskins.
Now to turn the page, cornerback Shaun Springs has been unwilling to restructure his contract with the Redskins and is due $6.8 million this year followed by $7.3 million in 2008. Springs was to be sent to the Lions for Bly prior to the Denver-Detriot deal. Now, Springs may be willing to relinquish several million in deferred money to facilitate his trade or release from the team.
It is notable that the Redskins and Broncos have a history of trading players, as was the case of Portis-Bailey trade. |

Free agent tight end Jerramy Stevens is a talented player that carries a great deal of baggage with him, and that is likely why the Seattle Seahawks allowed him to leave to free agency. However, the Green Bay Packers are in need of tight end help and general manager Ted Thompson may be willing to bring him on board. Thompson was responsible for the drafting of Stevens in 2002 in the first round out of the University of Washington. Stevens carries alot of baggage with him, if he comes to Green Bay. However, his potential with Favre makes him a solid option for the Packers and Fantasy owners alike. |

It is uncertain what the Lions are looking in exchange for Bell, but Giants' general manager Jerry Reese said that he would not part with a first day draft pick in any deal. |

After the Denver Broncos talked to Ahman Green, they may have redirected their interest to a new free agent running back, Travis Henry. He was released this weekend by the Tennessee Titans due to their not wanting to pay a $8.3 million roster bonus.
I like this move by the Broncos. Not only is Henry younger than Green, I think that he fits the zone blocking running back mold with his smallish, compact frame. |
