Multiple sources are reporting that former Atlanta Falcons' tight end Alge Crumpler is close to a contract agreement with the Seattle Seahawks.

A source has indicated that the Philadelphia Eagles have reached a contract agreement with former New England Patriots' cornerback Asante Samuel.

Samuel is considered by many to be the top cornerback on the free agent market.

The Miami Herald reports that Jacksonville Jaguars' free agent receiver Ernest Wilford has reached an agreement that will make him the newest Miami Dolphin, following receiver David Kircus on Thursday, and guard Justin Smiley earlier on Friday.

The Dolphins have also reached an agreement with former Giants' linebacker Reggie Torbor, but a contract had not yet been signed as of Friday afternoon.

In addition, the Dolphins have reportedly agreed to a trade with the Dallas Cowboys for defensive tackle Jason Ferguson.

Reports out of Seattle are indicating that kicker Josh Brown turned down a contract offer from the Seattle Seahawks that would have made him the highest-paid kicker in in the league, and that Brown does not plan to return to the team next year.

The fifth-year pro enters free agency after posting 127 points in 2007.

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be overhauling their receiving corps.

On Friday, the team completed a trade for Vikings' receiver Troy Williamson that had been reported earlier in the week, and signed free agent Jerry Porter to a long-term deal.

Early Friday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers reached an agreement with free agent center Jeff Faine, who played the last two seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Details of the contract were not immediately available, but it is believed that Faine will now be among the league's highest-paid centers.

The Cleveland Browns have reportedly re-signed quarterback Derek Anderson to a 3-year $26 million contract. The deal includes $14.5 million in guaranteed money.

The Buffalo Bills indicated Friday that they have reached a verbal agreement with free agent linebacker Kawika Mitchell, an important part of the New York Giants' defense in 2007.

A contract with the 5-year pro is expected to be signed later on Friday.

The official website of the Dallas Cowboys reports that the team has agreed to a trade with the Miami Dolphins that will send defensive tackle Jason Ferguson to south Florida for a 2009 sixth-round draft pick. The two teams will also swap sixth-round picks in the 2008 draft.

The San Fransisco 49ers on Friday signed 10-year veteran kick return specialist and cornerback Allen Rossum.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Despite two years in the Oakland Raiders' doghouse, wide receiver Jerry Porter still managed to cash in with the Jacksonville Jaguars via free agency.

Porter signed a six-year, $30 million contract on Friday that will send the free agent receiver to Jacksonville.

St Louis Rams' kicker Jeff Wilkins has decided to bring his 14-year NFL career to an end. On Friday, Wilkins officially announced his retirement from the league after spending 11 years with the Rams.

The Minnesota Vikings struck early in free agency by reaching a six-year contract agreement with former Cincinnati Bengals' safety Madieu Williams.

The contract is believed to be worth $33 million.

Newsday is reporting that New York Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma will soon be wearing black and gold for the New Orleans Saints.

A trade has reportedly been agreed to that will send Vilma to the Bayou for a conditional draft pick, believed to be a 2009 pick that will be determined based on the linebacker's 2008 performance. The deal is expected to be announced Friday morning.

The New York Jets gave up their 3rd and 5th round picks to the Carolina Panthers for DT Kris Jenkins. It is not known at this point if they will try to restructure his contract.

The Cleveland Browns continue to revamp their defensive line on Friday by acquiring DT Corey Williams from Green Bay for a 2nd round pick. Green Bay receives the 56th overall pick in April's draft.

This leaves the Browns with no 1st or 2nd round picks in this draft, but Williams was a good choice for them and should help solidify the middle of the d-line.

The San Francisco 49'ers have signed FA RB De'Shaun Foster to a 2-year contract worth $1.8 million as reported by ESPN's John Clayton.

The New England Patriots have re-signed LB Tedy Bruschi to an undisclosed contract. It is believed to be a 1-year contract.

THe Dallas Cowboys have retained the services of LT Flozell Adams after re-signing him to a 6-year contract.

The St Louis Rams released WR Isaac Bruce on Thursday. Bruce was asked to take a pay cut and he refused. The Rams are in terrible cap shape and needed the room. Brice should have no problem landing somewhere.
