The New York Giants re-signed center Shaun O'Hara to a five-year, $19 million contract extension according to ESPN.com. He is guaranteed $7.5 million of the contract and keeps him with the Giants thru the 2011 season. |

The Dallas Cowboys have released tight end Ryan Hannam and guard E.J. Whitley according to ESPN.com. Hannam was an unrestricted free agent that was signed from Seattle last year and played in two games before heading to injured reserve on October 11. Whitley was drafted in the seventh-round last year, but also headed to injured reserve with a torn ACL in his left knee during minicamp. |

The Dallas Cowboys in an expected move have released quarterback Drew Bledsoe as reported by ESPN.com. Bledsoe was benched during the 2006 season by then head coach Bill Parcells in favor of young quarterback Tony Romo. Drew was due a $1 million roster bonus on March 2 and $4.5 million for the 2007 season. |

The New Orleans Saints have released four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Joe Horn according to NFL.com. Horn had requested to be let go by the team after he was asked to take a pay cut. He had agreed to a six-year, $42 million contract extension in May 2005. The deal would have paid him $4.45 million for 2007 and given him a $1 million roster bonus later this month. He missed the final four games of the 2006 regular season and both playoff games because of a groin injury. |

The Pittsburgh Steelers have offered one-year tenders to quarterback Brian St. Pierre and offensive tackle Max Starks according to the team's official website. The team may match any offer given to the two players, the players may except the offeres for 2007 or they can come to agreement for a long-term contract. Also, offensive tackle Ulish Booker was released by the team, who spent the 2006 season on the team's reserve/injured list. |

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released linebacker Joey Porter after eight years with the team according to the team's official website. He was a third round selection in the 1999 draft. He had recorded 498 tackles and 10 interceptions, and ranks fourth in team history with 60 quarterback sacks. Also, he has made three trips to the Super Bowl and helped win Super Bowl XL for the team. |

The Seattle Seahawks announced Wednesday that they had tendered contracts to six of their free agents, retaining the right to match any offer from another club or receiving specific compensation should they opt not to re-sign the player.
The Seahawks will receive a first round draft choice in exchange for starting right tackle Sean Locklear; second round picks for wide receiver D.J. Hackett and defensive back Jordan Babineaux; a fourth round draft choice for linebacker Niko Koutouvides, and a sixth round pick for defensive tackle Craig Terrill. Running back Leonard Weaver was tendered an offer too, but he cannot sign with another team because he has only two years experience and the Seahawks retain exclusive rights.

The Minnesota Vikings have parted ways with veteran tight end Jermaine Wiggins according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Wiggins has been a Viking for three seasons while leading them in receptions during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. He was only able to obtain 46 receptions last season. Wiggins realized that the Vikings were going in a different direction and he was not to be a major contributor. |

The Miami Dolphins have issued a tender for wide receiver Wes Welker in the amount of $1.35 million and will cost any other teams that exceeds the offer, with Miami refusing to match, a second round draft selection, according to the the Providence Journal. |
