Quarterback Trent Green got some bad news on Saturday when the Miami Dolphins placed him on injured reserve, ending his season. Doctors would not clear Green to return to the team, prompting the team to move him to IR.
The Dolphins' offense seems destined to struggle. Trent Green on IR and Chris Chambers traded to the Chargers means that the offense is being led by Cleo Lemon, Marty Booker, and Ronnie Brown. |

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did not clear suspended defensive tackle Tank Johnson to play before the scheduled end of his 8-game suspension, but on Thursday he did agree to allow Johnson to begin practicing with the team. On Friday, he will be permitted to join the Dallas Cowboys.
This gives Johnson some time to learn the defensive scheme, although it also opens Goodell up to some complaints from other suspended players who had to wait out their suspension (or will have to) before they can re-join their team in any form. |

Even if CB Ashton Youboty is healthy, the Buffalo Bills intend to keep Jabari Greer at the starting cornerback spot after he has performed well the last few weeks.
Greer was expected to start this week, anyway, but coach Jauron says that he would "be hard pressed to move him out of there." |

On Wednesday, the Detroit Lions attempted to address their oft-torched defensive secondary by signing free agent cornerback Dovonte Edwards. Linebacker Donte Curry was released to make room on the roster.
Edwards was one of the final cuts for the Minnesota Vikings, and spent some time with the Giants this year before Michael Strahan was activated. He just might be an upgrade, but not much of one. |

Two New England Patriots' players who spent the beginning of the season on the Physically Unable To Perform list, receiver Chad Jackson and defensive back Eddie Jackson, returned to practice Wednesday. The Patriots will have two weeks to decide whether to activate them, or place them on injured reserve.
Chad Jackson says that he feels 100%, but really - is there a place for him? Maybe as the WR4... |

The Denver Broncos signed linebacker Jordan Beck on Tuesday, releasing linebacker D.D. Lewis to make room on the roster.
Beck was a good special teams contributor for the Falcons a couple of years ago, and has some promise as a linebacker. However, he will likely be too deep to make a significant impact outside of special teams. |
