The following is last week's Injury Watch entry) The Cardinals lost offensive tackle Mike Gandy to a calf injury suffered in the third quarter of Sunday's game. With Gandy out, Levi Brown slid over from left tackle and Elton Brown stepped into to the left side. Coach Whisenhunt later said that he is unsure how long Gandy will be sidelined.
Update: 10/29: Gandy was put through a rigorous workout Monday, but did not practice with the rest of the team. His participation, or lack thereof, on Wednesday will tell us some more about his possible availability on Sunday.
Update: 11/1: Gandy practiced Wednesday, and appears to be on track to play on Sunday. If it is determined that he can start, the coaching staff will have to determine whether Elton Brown or Levi Brown will start on the other side.

The following is last week's Injury Watch entry) Byron Leftwich finally got his first start as a Falcon on Sunday, throwing 15 of 23 for 145 and a touchdown before suffering a high ankle sprain. After the game, he was wearing a boot and using crutches. Joey Harrington took over for the remainder of the game, throwing 12 of 18 for 128 yards. Leftwich is expected to miss at least two weeks, and head coach Bobby Petrino indicated that there is no certainty when the quarterback will be able to return. Petrino muddied the water even more by saying, "I'm hoping Byron's on a timetable that he's back at some point." Some point. Wonderful. Welcome back, Joey! They never doubted ye.
Update: 10/24: Leftwich is reportedly undergoing a surgical procedure that will insert two screws in his badly sprained ankle. The surgery reportedly has a high rate of success, and may allow him to return to the field in about two weeks. |

Testaverde had not been playing particularly well, completing 12 of 20 passes for just 82 yards and an interception. Testaverde has been dealing with the injury for quite some time, but was unable to play on it after aggravating the tendon on Sunday.
Update: 10/30: The Panthers are aggressively treating Testaverde's strained Achilles' tendon in hopes of having him to ready to play. |

Update: 10/31: Lynch sat out Wednesday's practice as he waits for results from an MRI on the pinched nerve in his neck. He says that he's feeling okay, but there is come concern because he has had neck problems in the past.
Update: 11/1: Lynch received good news regarding the MRI results on his neck when Dr. Robert Watkins informed Lynch that he can result playing when symptoms from the stinger he suffered on Sunday subside. Lynch said Thursday that he is feeling better and that there is a chance he will play at Detroit this week. |

Update: 10/30: The Packers placed Wynn on injured reserve Tuesday, just hours after the rookie running back injured his shoulder. The exact reason why Wynn ended up on IR was not released, but it is likely a result of the shoulder. The team activated Koren Robinson to the open roster spot. |

From Last Week: Quarterback Matt Schaub started Sunday despite ankle and hip injuries, but did not make it through the game after getting hit in the head during an interception return in the second quarter. Schaub was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Coach Gary Kubiak said that "it's as bad as it could be," which is not good news. Sage Rosenfels wasn't anyone's savior this week, as he game in and threw 17 or 27 for 176 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. However, it seems likely that Rosenfels will be starting at least the Texans' next game.
Update: 10/30: On Tuesday, the Texans signed Craig Nall to provide depth while Schaub is sidelined with a concussion. At the current time, Schaub is expected to be available when the Texans play the New Orleans Saints following the bye week. |

He said Monday that there is no structural damage, but he does have bruising of some vertebrae. Holcomb added that he is uncertain how long he will be sidelined.
