Have you noticed the change? The more I put the numbers together to do these rankings, the more amazed I am at the changing of the guard. Players who we have considered studs for so long seem to be slipping down the rankings, while some very good young players are moving right in.
Isn't Fantasy Football a liitle young to be going through the "change"?

If they are there for the taking, they are here for you to read about. We will dig out those players that might be available in your leagues and give you some reasoning as to why they might be a good pickup for you.

There are a ton of things I really like about linebacker Cato June.
He's a heck of a player with great instincts, good coverage skills, nice speed, and solid tackling. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went after him hard and fast when free agency opened, and they were right to do so. He will continue to be a very good player for them.
But that doesn't mean you should draft him. |

As always the training camp battles during preseason make for some of the best debate between fantasy footballers. Walk in on a fantasy conversation and you will hear things like; “Jane, you ignorant slut, there is no way that Ahmad Bradshaw becomes the Giants leading rusher this season’, or “I can bet you that seventh round pick WR Dallas Baker becomes the top scoring WR on Pittsburgh this year, just like Marques Colston last year”.
To follow along in that vein, I have put together Volume 1 of this year’s IDP Training Camp Battles. These are 4 of the hottest IDP battles in the league and will be fought right into the season in some cases. I will provide updates on these as they occur.
Now on to the Battles;

After a brief respite from all fantasy hostilities during the boring time of June and early July, fantasy addicts everywhere are starting to lick their chops now that training camps are just about a week away. Since the fanfare for the NFL Draft subsided, there has been a dull thud in fantasy dens around the globe. Now the conversation will once again pick up in earnest. Who will win the training camp battles? Which RB gets drafted at #3, or #4, or even #5? Which coaching change will have the biggest impact on their team? And the Godfather of all discussions for fantasy players; Who are your sleepers?
This is the discussion that we want to pursue today, but in terms of Individual Defensive Players only.
I will take a long hard look at the defensive side of the ball and give you a list of players that I think will outperform their drafted, or undrafted status going into the season. Now I am not talking about names that most sites will throw at you. Guys like DJ Williams, Jon Beason, Ahmad Brooks, EJ Henderson, and the list goes on and on. If you are reading this, I know you have already heard of these guys. I want to give a you list of players that are on a much deeper level of "sleepitude." Players that even the most steadfast IDP player may not know. These players are geared for those deep-roster, large-team leagues where you have to find the diamonds among the coal in the 47th round. Now I know that some of these sleepers may not pan out, but I think that if you are looking for someone to fill your roster out at the end of your draft, these players are the ones that may surprise you and maybe even drive you to a championship run.
Enough of the talk, let’s get to some names.
