The Arizona Cardinals released RB Marcel Shipp on Monday. The team will save $1.75 million against the cap with the release. Shipp became expendable behind the play of rookie Tim Hightower. Hightower is a power rusher who has flashed some good skills and likely will end up as Edgerrin James' primary backup and should definitely take some goal-line chances from James.
