Lewis, 28, rushed for 1,304 yards and nine touchdowns last year. He is on his way to Indianapolis this evening to sign the contract. Lewis’ signing leaves starting quarterback Derek Anderson as the last significant free agent remaining for the Browns. Anderson can become an unrestricted free agent on Feb. 29. |
The Browns have officially agreed to a three-year contract with tailback Jamal Lewis, keeping him in Cleveland through the 2010 season.
