The team will keep Gates active and hope he can play in the AFC Championship Game or Super Bowl if the Chargers make it that far. The team announced Gates has a sprained toe, but the toe is also dislocated. Technically, one must have a sprain to have a dislocation, but a dislocation is worse than a sprain. This will definitely allow the Colts to focus on stopping LT. Most likely they will fill the box and try to make Philip Rivers beat them through the air. This really hurts SD's chances of moving forward. |
