The Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday placed quarterback Chris Simms on injured reserve, ending his season. Simms was the starting quarterback in 2006, but suffered an injury that required emergency surgery to remove his spleen. He has practiced sparingly since, and may well be at the end of his tenure with the Buccaneers. The Bucs decided a while ago that Simms wasn't going to play for them anymore - which makes it interesting that they even re-signed him during the offseason. |
