According to the Detroit News, the Detroit Lions have placed tight end Dan Campbell on the injured reserve list due to an elbow injury. Tight end Rudy Sylvan was signed off the practice squad to take Campbell's roster spot.
Campbell was the Lions best blocking tight end, as stated in the article. However, he may not be a Lion next year, as he is due $1.8 million in 2008 and likely will get cut during the off-season.
