The Buffalo Bills were the first to strike in free agency with the signing of offensive lineman Jason Whittle according to ESPN.com. Whittle is in his ninth year in the NFL and has been a journeyman for the most part. He appeared in 16 games for the Vikings and was a starter in two of them. The contract was for one-year for $720,000 with a $40,000 signing bonus.
