The Seattle Seahawks announced Wednesday that they had tendered contracts to six of their free agents, retaining the right to match any offer from another club or receiving specific compensation should they opt not to re-sign the player.
The Seahawks will receive a first round draft choice in exchange for starting right tackle Sean Locklear; second round picks for wide receiver D.J. Hackett and defensive back Jordan Babineaux; a fourth round draft choice for linebacker Niko Koutouvides, and a sixth round pick for defensive tackle Craig Terrill. Running back Leonard Weaver was tendered an offer too, but he cannot sign with another team because he has only two years experience and the Seahawks retain exclusive rights.
