The New York Jets could be sending quarterback Patrick Ramsey out to the free agent market before Saturday, March 3, sources close to the team report. Ramsey is due a $1.4 million roster bonus on Saturday. He failed to mount any type of competition to veteran quarterback Chad Pennington during training camp and preseason of last year. The Jets are trying to trade Ramsey for a sixth-round pick that they gave up to the Washington Redskins last year to obtain his services.
