The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking toward free agency...in 2008. With their recent re-singing of defensive end Aaron Smith, the Steeler front office is looking to secure their key players before the 2008 season. Linebacker Joey Porter is one of those players that are due to become an unrestricted free agent in 2008, but the Steelers may be looking to cut him to save a $1 million roster bonus that he is due on March 6. His release could come as soon as Friday according to the Post-Gazette.
