The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports Tuesday that the Miami Dolphins are preparing to cut quarterback Joey Harrington, Guards Seth McKinney and Bennie Anderson, and may cut defensive end Kevin Carter if a contract restructuring deal is not reached in the next few days. Both McKinney and Anderson missed most of 2006 due to injury. The team is open to trading Harrington, but it seems unlikely that a deal will be reached before the end of the week. Carter is due a $3 million roster bonus, which is considered too pricey for the Dolphins after signing Vonnie Holliday to a 4-year, $20 million deal last week. Carter will be released on Thursday if a new deal is not reached. |
